As of January 1st, 2011 it is estimated that equipment based on Rad Source X-ray technology has displaced over 2,000,000 (2 million) curies of radioactive isotopes from self-shielded irradiators. In addition to the benefits of the displaced dangerous isotopes, Rad Source ensures that the majority of the components used in our equipment are selected because of their ability to be recycled. This includes the frame, cabinet shielding, and even the Rad Source 4 pi X-ray tubes, which are designed to be rebuilt, instead of discarded. Very few components will ever end up in a landfill.
